Automation Technician

We are currently looking for an Automation Technician to join our Automation team. Automation is key part of our New Zealand business. We have over _300_ Robots (Medication dispensing machines) in pharmacies** **right across the country, ensuring that repetitive and error prone tasks, such as packing and sorting medication, are handled with speed and accuracy, and patients get the medication they need.
As an Automation Technician, you will install, service and troubleshoot on our medication dispensing Robots, including hardware and software systems. You will do device installs and training to provide continued service our customers. You will be talking to our customers on an everyday basis to troubleshoot, understand their needs and resolve their issues.
**You will be**
- ** MECHANICAL** know how - you have a mechanical mindset and experience to go along with that including mechanical maintenance.
- ** ELECTRICAL **knowledge**:
- **you have handled PCB's and can use a multi-meter to diagnose basic issues.
- ** SOFTWARE** understanding - you have practical knowledge of SQL, networking, windows operating systems and working with bespoke systems.
- A **PROBLEM SOLVER** - being able to trouble shoot to find out where the issue is and how to solve it efficiently and effectively.
- ** CUSTOMER** driven - its important to be able to listen to the voice of the customer and be responsive to their needs.
- A strong **COMMUNICATOR** - you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes.
You will have 8 years proven experience as a technician and preferably qualified in Mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering or similar. Qualifications in Computer systems or Software Systems are desirable.
