Join our Women’s Health team and play a pivotal role in improving the health and wellbeing of the people in Waitaha Canterbury.
At our organization, we prioritize putting people at the heart of all we do, fostering health literacy, and collaborating for integrated health systems. We are seeking a dedicated Quality Coordinator to contribute to our commitment to safe, high-quality care.
As a Quality Coordinator, you will work closely with the Quality Manager to implement the quality and patient safety strategy. Your responsibilities include providing direction for the ongoing development, improvement, and implementation of a quality and risk management framework. Key deliverables include fostering an organizational culture of innovation, driving continuous quality improvement, and ensuring that improvement programs are based on best practices and evidence.
**Key Deliverables**:
- Drive an organizational culture of innovation, transformation, and continuous quality improvement.
- Ensure improvement programs and projects are robust and based on best practice and evidence.
- Support clinical risk management processes, including incident investigation, complaint review, risk identification and mitigation, and legal compliance.
- Assist in providing resources to those closest to issues affecting care quality to facilitate effective problem-solving.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
**Essential**:
- Clinical qualification
- 8-10 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the health sector
- Evidence in skills of leadership/mentoring roles
- Previous experience in quality improvement/project management
**Desirable**:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the health sector (especially women’s health)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (undergraduate or postgraduate)
- Quality management related qualifications
- Knowledge of Health and Disability Sector Standards, Certification, or Accreditation Programmes
- Medium level of computer literacy and report writing skills
