OneStaff has an exciting opportunity for a mechanically minded individual to work as a Kiln Operator producing ready to burn firewood in Christchurch. We are looking for someone with a mechanical or engineering background, or someone who has experience around heavy machinery, to join a team that has been warming Christchurch homes for over 30 years.

Relevant experience is not necessary and this role can provide training for the right person. This role has strong emphasis on occupational health & safety.

Duties include:

- Drying timber in the kilns according to production requirements and schedules
- Monitoring the kiln operations and data entry
- Operation, maintenance and cleaning of the Boiler

This a permanent opportunity working a rotating roster.

Shift time: 7am - 7pm.

OSH, Class 2 or W & T endorsements an advantage.
