- Ongoing work for approximately six months

**About the role**:
Our client manages various greenspace, wetland and beach areas though the Waimakariri District. They have various projects on the go to enhance these spaces. In order to achieve their project goals they are looking for two suitably experienced/enthusiastic people to join their team.

**Duties**:

- Planting of seedlings and mulching of the new plantings
- Maintenance - weed control and removal of plant guards
- Noxious weed control - following an existing weed control plan to control invasive weeds such as ivy, old man's beard, sycamore, and hawthorn
- Predator control - setting and clearing traps
- Walking track maintenance and development

**Skills & Experience**:

- Previous greenspace/conservation experience - a relevant tertiary qualification an advantage but not essential
- An excellent level of fitness as there is some heavy work including brush cutting
- The ability to work unsupervised and manage operational health and safety
- A current Growsafe certificate (preferred but not essential)
- A clean full Class 1 drivers' licence and your own reliable transport
- A commitment to and appreciation of conservation and nature
- Good spoken and written English
