Following a recent change project to future-proof our Network we have a number of exciting new opportunities with our Northpower Network team. We are a leading electricity distribution network company committed to delivering reliable and sustainable energy solutions to our customers. We are currently seeking a talented Project Financial Administrator to join our team.

**The opportunity**
At Northpower, our people are at the heart of our success. As the Project Financial Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day financial, operational, and administrative support to our Network Delivery team. Your focus will be on improving financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and control of our Network work programs. You will serve as a vital link across various teams, ensuring accurate insights for the relevant projects and programs. You will also role model success in several technical and people functions:

- Process requisitions, purchase orders, and receipts for purchases accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide support on payment queries and assist with invoice processing.
- Collaborate with the Delivery & Finance teams to develop and manage annual project and maintenance budgets.
- Generate forecasts and reports that meet business requirements for the Network team.
- Transparently manage accruals and invoicing processes for project vendors and suppliers.
- Assist in project maintenance and tracking project variations and approvals.
- Ensure robust processes for timesheet reporting and approvals.
- Liaise effectively with the Finance team to provide required financial information for reporting and forecasting.

**Who we’re looking for**
To be considered for this role you will naturally be a people leader and possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as:

- Tertiary qualification in accounting (preferred).
- 2 or more years of experience in similar roles with bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- A passion for numbers and a solid understanding of basic accounting requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer literacy and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Proactive and team-minded approach with a willingness to take on additional administrative duties as required.
