About the role:
Our NZ Merchandising team is looking a little different and the introduction of the Merchandise Trader role is exciting stuff

Here, you will support the execution of merchandising and marketing strategies, analysing market dynamics, fostering supplier relationships, and provide support and oversight of trading to optimise sales and profitability in the NZ market.

As a Merchandise Trader, you can expect to:

- Develop marketing plans and promotional strategies with the marketing team.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for optimal supplier performance.
- Support local ranging and grading activation, and planogram execution.
- Review ANZ price files and provide feedback on opportunities and challenges.
- Execute merchandise and marketing strategies for optimal sales and profitability in NZ retail channels.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- 3 years+ experience in a corporate merchandise role
- Strong vendor management skills, with an understanding of driving supplier performance improvements.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Competitor insights and familiarity with retail industry trends, consumer behaviour, and market dynamics.
