Butchery Assistant Afternoon Shift

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to join our Butchery Department at PAKn’SAVE Hastings as a Butchery Assistant on a Full time basis. Reporting to the Butchery Manager, you will contribute to the running of the department by merchandising the Butchery cabinet and making it it's most presentable by showcasing the meat products at their freshest and fullest. Additionally, dependent on the flow of products flowing from the Butchers down to pack, you may also contribute to running one of two auto-wrapper machines in order to pack our meat offerings as efficiently and freshly as possible. Our Meat Cabinet is a very important focal point of our store, and these 40 hours within the roster are dedicated to help contribute to its high standard.

The hours are as follows:

- **_ Tuesday to Saturday 12.30 pm - 9.00 pm (40 hour per week)_**

**For this role, duties include but are not limited to**:

- Merchandising the cabinet, rotating stock and ensuring the cabinet is tidy and full well presented stock
- Packing and wrapping all cuts and kinds of meat using the auto-wrapper
- Labelling meat with correct prices and ensuring consistent standards are met with presentation
- Pricing small goods products for merchandising
- Pricing down products as instructed by the Butchery Manager
- Keeping the department clean and presentable, following precise Health & Safety procedures ensuring the best product for our customers
- Taking Customer orders and fielding enquiries where needed
