Litter Collector

We have multiple opportunities for motivated litter collectors and greenspace labourers to join the gardening team based at the Drury depot on a temporary full-time basis.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of gardens around the district, working on rural roads. This includes garden maintenance, (planting and maintenance), cutting flaxes, basic weeding, line trimming, and mulching, pruning, using hedge trimmers and blowers, push mowing and using a ride-on mower. You will also be driving a small truck or buggy collecting the roadside litter as well.

We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:

- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Some general gardening experience is preferred, but full training will be given.
- A passion for the outdoors and the environment
- Self-motivated and physically fit as this will involve a lot of walking
- Health and Safety focused with a positive attitude
- Full, clean class 1 licence preferable but not essential
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ideally, live in the area - Drury, Takanini or Papakura
