**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity within our Component processing lab for an experienced, registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with a passion for leadership.
The role of the Supervising Scientist is to work with the Team Leader to enhance the technical and scientific aspects of the work performed in the laboratory by supervising and coordinating the work to ensure all processes and procedures comply with GMP, GLP and the relevant SOP's.

**About you**:

- You are looking for career growth
- You are an organised, confident workforce coach
- You are interested in learning new skills
- You have effective organisational and excellent interpersonal skills
- You are excited about the potential to help others grow and succeed
- You are adaptable and are able to trouble-shoot in a complex technical environment.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of the team, performing duties associated with all processes and procedures undertaken in the laboratory. Although this role will mainly be required to work day shifts, you will also need to be flexible to be called upon to work other shifts if necessary to meet the needs of the laboratory.
To be successful in this role you will respect and value others in order to successfully consult, train and provide positive constructive feedback to members of the team.
If you possess a depth of experience and comprehensive knowledge of the functional stream, the quality standards, accreditation, licensing and health and safety requirements, then this role could be for you.
