Location Parakai/Helensville 20mins north of Kumue 1 hour from central Auckland.

Small format supermarket requires one full time staff member to join team. Current team of 25 staff 40/60 mix of Full and part timers.

We are 7 day a week store trading from 6:30am -8:30pm. The hours we are looking to fill are starting between 9am - 12pm to between 6pm to 8pm pm Tuesday to Saturday. We offer all normal supermarket departments Grocery, Chilled, Frozen, liquor, fresh Seafood, Butchery, Produce and a large Deli serving a range of hot foods. Retail staff will generally work and be trained in all departments.

All applicates must be able work at least one weekend shift. Up to 35-45 hours per week available, plus extra shifts covering leave/sickness if interested.

Experience in retail, supermarket or food service preferred but not necessary.

Main Responsibility will be running the Sandwich Station. Responsible for keeping the station fully stocked of fresh appealing salads and meats throughout the day. Making wraps and subs for customers to order, additionally keeping the retail fridge full of per-packed sandwiches. Must be willing and able to follow food control plan, keeping actuate records of time and temperature.

Entry level role. Pay from $23 per hour depending on experience and availability.

Great customer service

Be able to follow approved Food control plan and work in busy Checkout and kitchen environment.

Must be able to lift and move 20kg boxes from floor to bench height.

Strong command of spoken English and with great communication skills.

Willingness to get stuck in, keep busy and clean as you work.

Able to work quickly on repetitive tasks, making sandwiches and preparing vegetables.

Team player, willing to fill in for other staff when required.

Physically fit and able to be on feet all day with regular lifting of heavy items.

Must be Citizen or permanent resident. Applicants with less the 2 years left on Visa will not be considered for this role.
