About Safe, Strong Families and Communities
The Safe, Strong Families and Communities (SSFC) team sits within the Māori, Communities and Partnerships Group at MSD. The current focus of SSFC involves MSD's response to Family Violence, Sexual Violence, and Building Financial Capability across New Zealand.

About the role
We are looking for a Principal Analyst to work across the family and sexual violence design and commissioning teams. This person will need to understand the detail to work across multiple work programmes at a strategic level, providing specialist support at times of need, while also working to bring cohesion to the work programme in its entirety.
You will have the opportunity to undertake analysis, provide strategic advice on complex pieces of work and provide leadership to drive and support key areas of work.

About you
To be successful, you will have proven experience operating at a senior level, which includes:

- The ability to deliver smart solutions to complex problems and provide pragmatic and effective advice to government
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing and ambiguous environment experienced in building and communicating across a range of networks in the social sector
- Knowledge and experience of the family and sexual violence system
- Experience with commissioning and service design processes
- A sound understanding of the machinery of government
- Strong influencing and relationship management skills and be able to quickly establish credibility and trust
- An ability to engage with a range of stakeholders, understand their needs, and adapt to changing requirements
- Being a people leader who displays strong interpersonal skills; coaches and mentors other staff to lift capability. Someone that is visible, approachable and proactive

Position Description

**Salary range**: $117,349 - $146,034
