**About the role**

Being part of the Whangaia Nga Pa Harakeke family harm team, you will be working in a multi-agency approach. This ensures families experiencing family harm get the support and assistance they need from both government agencies and local community services. Two multi-agency safety assessment meetings (SAM) are held Monday to Friday risk and safety assessing police attended family harm episodes for the previous 24 hours. Over the weekend and public holidays there is one meeting each day focusing on episodes assessed as high risk.

This is not a Monday to Friday position, your working week will start on Saturday.

You will be using your knowledge to complete the risk and safety assessments from a police perspective prior to facilitating the meeting. On weekends and public holidays, you will lead the collective and connected decision making to ensure effective responses are discussed and planned.

On other days your role is flexible according to the needs of our business. You may assist with risk assessment, leave coverage and special project / portfolio work as required to help keep our families safe.

Key Accountabilities:

- Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships at all levels
- Facilitate information sharing, risk assessment and taskings in the safety assessment meeting
- Ensuring appropriate compliance with information sharing and privacy processes
- Identify gaps in service delivery and report appropriately
- Identify and report on emerging family violence trends which may affect our practice or response

- Is able to complete objective and structured risk assessments
- Recognises the difference of working on symptoms versus working to identify the primary cause of a problem
- Exercises sound judgement, and discretion when working under pressure
- Demonstrates culturally conscious and empathetic practice
- Excellent computer skills

This role is set at
**Individual Contributor level**, this means your key purpose is “to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business”.

**Special requirements**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the family violence sector or allied sectors
- This is a full-time role (40 hours) but has a mandatory requirement of being able to work weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays from 7am to 3pm

Remuneration upon appointment to the role will be (starting) $94,854 - $110,456.
