The Whakapapa whānau are a small but ambitious team, running year-round operations on the northern slopes of Mt Ruapehu. In winter, from June until October, this includes a world-class ski area. In summer, from December until April, this includes our summer sightseeing operation, heroing our iconic Sky Waka gondola. Each year we welcome hundreds of thousands of manuhiri (guests) to Whakapapa, many with life-long connections to the maunga (mountain) and surrounding region, some even third or fourth generation.

Are you looking to immerse yourself in a full winter ski season experience with a unique NZ cultural element, in a World Heritage and Cultural Park We are looking for friendly and personable staff to join our Rentals Team. Continue here to join our Whakapapa Whānau or family.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring all rental guests have fast and efficient access to our products.
- Ensuring all gear rented is safe and compliant.
- Working alongside our Ski Technicians and Ski and Ride teams.
- Assist with welcoming and hosting our guests.

- Experience working in hospitality or retail would be beneficial.
- Positive and proactive verbal communication skills.
- Helpfulness and willingness when dealing with people.
- A flexible approach to work schedules, guest needs, and the strategic direction of the business on a day.
