We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to lead the delivery of one of our complex, multi-year, enterprise-wide programmes. Reporting to the Director of Transformation and Improvement, you will play a key role in ensuring the University achieves its organisational change goals.

You will be leading a team responsible for coordinating University-wide organisational change across a range of areas. You will bring your excellent influencing and relationship skills to engage across the University to ensure delivery of the programme, the majority of which is delivered in other organisational areas.

You will be accountable to the programme’s board and have ongoing responsibility for the successful day-to-day leadership of the programme in support of the programme’s Senior Responsible Owner (a member of the University’s executive leadership). This includes developing and implementing the programme’s strategy and associated governance approaches, defining and maintaining integrated programme delivery plans, and proactively monitoring overall progress.

As with any programme manager role, you will be accountable for ensuring programme alignment with the organisation’s vision and strategy. You will translate strategy into action, resulting in beneficial change in the context of an evolving organisational environment. This means optimising the linkage between programme objectives and activities (tranches, projects etc). It also means you will manage complex stakeholder expectations, competing priorities and deadlines. You will establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships through great communication, negotiation, and issues management.

We are looking for an experienced and savvy project/programme management practitioner, with previous experience in leading the delivery of organisation-wide programmes. Experience we are looking for includes:

Transformation and Improvement enable the University’s successes through maturing its capability in enterprise-wide project portfolio management, strategic programme delivery, and business process management. We make sure we do the right projects and those projects are done right.

**Enterprise Project Management Office**
- Focussing on portfolio management, benefits realisation, business case development, organisational project management maturity / centre of excellence.

**Business Process Management Office**
- Focussing on process management, continuous improvement, automation, service design, innovation/ideation.

**Strategic Programme Delivery Unit**
- Focussing on the delivery of programmes of projects, typically enterprise wide, which have large change impacts for the University

This is a full-time, two year fixed term position.
