**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- ACG Strathallan is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school based in Karaka, South Auckland. We cater for students in Years 0-13, delivering the Cambridge Curriculum.- We require an experienced secondary english teacher who is able to deliver motivational and differentiated lessons that cater for student’s individual needs. The successful applicant will be very well organised, enjoy working as a part of a supportive team, and be willing to contribute to the corporate life of our school. Ideally the applicant will have an understanding of Cambridge International Qualifications.- We require a teacher** **who is able to deliver motivational and differentiated lessons that cater for student’s individual needs. The successful applicant will have strength in teaching literacy in the classroom, be very well organised, enjoy working as a part of a supportive team, and be willing to contribute to the wider life of our school. Experience with delivering the Cambridge Curriculum would be an advantage but not essential.-

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Teach english, ensuring you create an engaging learning environment.
- Cater to the varied learning needs and abilities within your classes to maximise student development.
- Develop excellent working relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.
- Participate in wider school activities.
- Ensure student's welfare and safety in every moment.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:

- NZ Teacher registration with supporting teaching qualifications (BA and/or MBA).
- Experience in teaching in a secondary school curriculum to a high standard.
- Well-prepared, inspiring confidence in students and parents.
- Flexible, committed, professional, hard working, team player.
