Are you dynamic individual looking for a positive rewarding challenge? We are looking for an individual to professionally lead, coordinate and organise the Speech Language Therapy workforce for Te Whatu Ora - Waikato. This is a varied role suited to someone who is able to work well in a team environment, prioritise workloads, and enjoys the balance of clinical and professional responsibilities. To be successful in the role, you need to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with the Manager and other groups of both clinical and non-clinical staff.

**Mōu | About you**
- Foster continuous improvement; leads by example and sets the standard for professional behaviour and practice that support a positive, progressive working environment
- Foster high staff morale and engagement
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and promote a ‘can do’ attitude across the team
- Develop and maintain flexible team structure including appropriate succession planning and avoiding single points of failure; safeguarding high standards of care ensuring clinical safety
- Drive team performance and ensure Te Whatu Ora performance review process is followed
- Nurture talent and encourage people to develop in their roles and skill sets
- Have the ability to work strategically and operationally

**Essential qualifications**:

- A relevant allied health tertiary qualification
- Current APC
- Registered member of New Zealand Speech-language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA)
- Previous experience in management/leadership

Waikato Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology.
