About the role
Reporting to the Regional Manager of Donor Services, Southern Region and working closely with the multi-disciplinary teams, the primary objective of this position is to provide operational clinical leadership and oversight on all regional blood collection activities and to ensure we deliver quality, safe donor focused care. This role is supported by four Clinical Nurse Leaders and two Clinical Coaches.

To be considered for this role, you must have extensive experience and success in the following:
- Leading and managing a large team of nurses and technicians at an operational level and motivating them to achieve a high level of success
- Promoting and developing a cohesive, positive and focused team culture
- Excellent relationships building skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with self-awareness and insight
- Change management skills
- Performance management and conflict resolution
- Working in a highly regulated environment
**In addition, you will need**:
- A current NZ Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of NZ or Midwifery Council of NZ
- 7 years' minimum experience as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant post graduate qualification or working towards this
You will ensure the Collections team continue to support a high performing, sustainable and inclusive workforce and culture.
Exceptional leadership, communication, people management, relationship development and stakeholder engagement skills are crucial to the success of this role, as needs to be an open, approachable, engaging and collaborative style. Experience with change management, and coaching are also key requirements and you will be well skilled in leading the team to ensure correct staffing levels are met and maintained.
