The Store Audit function is a geographically dispersed team across Australia and New Zealand which is a part of the wider Group Internal Audit function within Woolworths. Both the Store Audit and Group Internal Audit functions report to the Audit and Finance Committee, a sub-committee of the Woolworths Board.

Our purpose is to provide independent assurance over the key controls within our material risk areas; across Woolworths network of over 1,200 stores in Australia and New Zealand (Supermarkets, Metro, BIG W, Woolworths NZ and Fresh Choice) over a three-year rotational basis.

**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
This role will be based in New Zealand (ideally on the South Island) and reports to the Senior Audit Manager - Stores.

Please note that there will be a substantial amount of travel required across New Zealand.

In this role, you will:

- Execute Material Risk Reviews assessing key controls.
- Present audit findings in both written and verbal format, clearly communicating to various levels of management.
- Complete root cause analysis of internal control breakdowns.
- Perform timely follow up of known and above store findings to ensure agreed actions have been effectively implemented.
- Identify, recommend and support operational improvements in Internal Audit’s processes and tools.
- Engage with key business stakeholders.
- Actively contribute to the audit plan and positive team culture.
- Participate in Store Audit capability teams to develop additional skills in:

- Continuous Improvement (CI) review of reports
- Business unit lead
- Data analytics
- TeamMate+ Support

**About You | Mōu
You will demonstrate strong writing skills and be naturally curious about controls and business processes. A degree in a related discipline will be highly regarded..

You’ll love this role if you have:

- Self-motivated skills with strong attention to detail and a curious nature.
- Proven ability to work with limited direction in ambiguous, fast paced and changing environments.
- Strong business acumen and in depth knowledge of retail operational processes and their interrelation.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
- High standard written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage and build relationships with key stakeholders
- The flexibility to travel at least two weeks per month across New Zealand.
