Automotive Electrition

To ensure all automotive electrical duties are performed in a effective and timely manner according to daily targets/requirements.

Core objectives include:

- Use test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
- Dismantle and remove electrical and electronic assemblies and components
- Install electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles
- Adjust engine control systems and timing
- Test and replace defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motors
- Repair and replace faulty ignition and electrical wiring
- Replace defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches
- Ensure efficient and accurate fault diagnostics
- Ensure all vehicles are processed accurately and efficiently and of a high standard.
- Perform quality workmanship to minimise the occurrence of come backs.
- Road test vehicles to ensure job/fault is rectified.
- Ensure all paperwork and processes are completed in a timely manner, recording all parts/labour used on each job.
- Meet given KPI’s
- Ensure workshop area is kept safe in accordance with the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Use proper safety equipment when required
- Use all equipment and tools in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Report damage to vehicles/plant/premises as soon as possible.
- Clean contaminant spills as soon as possible using the Spill Kit.
- Contribute to “tool box meetings” and company policies and procedures.
- Hold and maintain a current NZ Drivers Licence
