We are a freight business operating around the Canterbury region, based primarily in Christchurch and are currently seeking 3 Level-2 truck drivers to join our busy team.

The role will include a regular daily run in Christchurch New Zealand and sometimes you will be driving to one of the areas - Nelson / Marlborough / Tasman / West Coast / Otago / Southland / Canterbury depending on the frieght delivery. The run is based on rosters and if overnight stay is required, employer will provide the accommodation. You might be working in the weekend from time to time.

The key responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:

- Driving Level -2 truck.
- Loading and unloading carboard and other material from commercial businesses.
- Ensuring compliance with vehicle load limits and safety regulations.
- Completing the necessary paperwork as required under legislation and business procedures.
- Delivering goods to specified customers with specified time frame. To assist in Loading and unloading trucks.
- Maintaining truck in clean and tidy condition to comply with standard industry requirement.
- Filling logbook daily and handing in a copy on a fortnightly basis to the office. Picking up the manifest/paperwork from dispatch for delivery.

Skills and experience required:

- Ability to drive forklifts will be an advantage.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to pass drug and criminal history checks if required.
- Must be available Monday to Saturday for shift work.
- Should be physically fit as job may involve jumping up and down from the truck frequently and heavy lifting.
- We are looking for someone who is reliable and committed to developing a career with us.
- References and clean driving record is must.
- Minimum of 30 hours a week. Overtime will be paid as per the base payrate.
- Remuneration ranges from $29 - $30 per hour, depending on experience and skills you bring to the role.

**Salary**: $29.00 - $30.00 per hour
