We're looking for 2 team players to join our Operations Division at the Manukau Memorial Gardens. This cemetery is nestled in the heart of South Auckland close to the motorway and a few minutes’ drive to Auckland Airport. You will be part of a passionate and experienced team who deliver a service that ensures our community's needs are met and exceeded during the most difficult time.

As a Cemetery Operations Team Member, you will be part of our burial team with a variety of cemetery operational tasks including but not limited to, burial preparation, attending burials, grave aftercare, cleaning of equipment, plot sales, and cremator operator.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You will be maintaining the cemetery grounds following adornment management process, after burial care, and other general grounds maintenance priorities. Having digger and excavator experience, and a tractor license would be highly advantageous.

Being a reliable team player with a sense of humour. A good communicator and have proven organisational skills is essential to the smooth running of our facilities and services. You will be assisting family’s, community groups and funeral directors in their time of need, offering guidance, direction, and a friendly smile. Your tasks will involve but are not limited to adornment management, sanitation, interment preparation and aftercare.

Our 2 permanent full-time opportunities are 40 hours per week (7-day roster including weekends and public holidays) and overtime as required. All uniforms, training and equipment will be provided, as is on-site parking.
- This role is deemed safety sensitive and in line with Auckland Council policy, you will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing._
