We are seeking an experienced Yard Person for an amazing opportunity within a company that has great employee benefits and excellent values.

If you are interested in joining a workplace that has a great team, offers a safety-first culture, has variety in a role, and is located right beside the ocean, then check out this opening.

**About your new role...**

We're looking for someone who is energetic, physically fit for the role, wants to work outdoors, and wants to get ‘stuck in' to get the job done. If you get along easily with people, are down-to-earth, and decisive, you have what we are looking for.

Working in the yard you will be an essential member of a small team that is driven to support the efficient and productive operation of the Port's yards and wharves. Some flexibility with hours worked is required, with weekly total hours ranging between 40 - 45, inclusive of a rostered weekend half day.

**Your day-to-day work includes**:

- Operation of plant and machinery to complete repairs and maintenance across the port and a multiple of associated properties.
- Timely recovery and removal of debris from yards and wharves.
- Ensuring the yard, pavements, wharves, port entrances, and surfaces are clean and swept.
- Undertake pavement and surface repairs and maintenance.
- Cleaning and maintenance of stormwater network/systems.

**A bit about you...**

You're someone who loves to work with others, finds adapting to changing priorities easy, you get a real kick out of seeing a project through to completion, and getting in a good days work.

You will have forklift, wheel, tracks and rollers in addition to class 4 licences, and will have some flexibility with your availability.

Experience with driving heavy machinery is high on your skill set, along with a good knowledge of tools and equipment use associated with maintenance tasks.

**Why us?**

At Eastland Port, we work hard to create a culture where employees feel valued and rewarded for their contributions. We offer competitive pay, long-term career opportunities, exceptional staff benefits and well-being programmes and more.

Eastland Port manages the region's port, marina and airport, along with a unique portfolio of properties. We're part of Eastland Group, which specialises in regional infrastructure in the maritime, aviation and energy sectors.
