The University of Canterbury Students’ Association Incorporated (UCSA) is a not-for-profit organisation with charity status. Over 240 full time, part time and casual staff report through to the Chief Executive. We offer many services to ensure that the university experience for students at UC is all that it can be.

Based at our Hornby Production Kitchen, The Production Supervisor's role is to ensure smooth day to day operation of the production kitchen. This involves daily prep and food production, assisting the Production Manager in ordering and planning and getting the job done.

This full-time role is 40 hours per week Sunday to Thursday, during primary/secondary term-time. In this role you will work daytime shifts which are generally between 8AM - 5PM. Although this may be extended from time to time in order to get the job finished. Flexibility may be required.

You must be reliable, an excellent communicator, and have the ability to work well under pressure. To be successful in the role, you must have:

- At least one year in a bulk cooking / catering environment as a supervisor
- Ability to be able to handle large scale mixing and handling trays to and from the ovens
- Have excellent time management skills and be self-motivated
- Be able to handle stock management and stocktaking
- Be reliable and turn up on time.
- A current forklift licence would be advantageous

You must be a New Zealand Citizen or resident or otherwise be able to prove that you are legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
