Following a recent change project to future-proof our Network we have a number of exciting new opportunities with our Northpower Network team. We are a leading electricity distribution network company committed to delivering reliable and sustainable energy solutions to our customers. We are currently seeking a talented Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

**The opportunity**

At Northpower, our people are at the heart of our success. As Maintenance Engineer, you will be a key member of our Operations and Engineering Delivery Team. Reporting directly to the Stations Engineering Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide engineering support for the development and implementation of maintenance programs that optimize the operational and commercial performance of our network. You will also role model success in several technical and people functions:

- Contribute to asset management processes and investment plans to ensure our network's performance remains at the forefront of the industry.
- Define and maintain asset condition grading systems, analysing condition data to target areas requiring attention.
- Actively manage the asset investment process to ensure projects align with our scheduled capital and maintenance works program.
- Collaborate with technical and maintenance teams to ensure optimal asset performance and reliability.
- Undertake professional development opportunities, expanding your knowledge and technical skillset.
- Resolve customer complaints and support operational planning for customer outages as needed.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Promote health, safety, quality, and environmental standards in all aspects of the work.

**Who we’re looking for**

To be considered for this role you will naturally be personable and possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as:

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar qualification.
- General understanding of electrical distribution networks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, meeting deadlines with limited supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with workplace practices.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a desire for continuous learning and growth.
