Cafe Assistant

Our busy on-site cafeteria is looking for a new team member to join our close-knit and friendly team. This is a permanent part-time position.

**About the role**

While working as part of our small team you’ll spend a lot of time on your feet with food preparation, keeping cabinets stocked, serving customers, running the till, and keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and functional.

Our café operates Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 12.45pm, although the hours of work may vary to meet operational requirements.

**What you will bring to the role**

Previous experience working in hospitality will be an advantage although at NZ Steel we value personality, attitude and a willingness to learn over experience.

Our small but mighty team are motivated and have a ‘can do’ attitude. If they see something needs doing, they don’t stand about waiting for it to happen, they get it done. At New Zealand Steel we are mindful about sustainability and waste and as such encourage re-useable cups, we do our best to keep the use of plastic to a minimum.
