There are a number of picturesque local parks dotted around our spectacular Garden City. We are looking for a new apprentice to join our team, based at the Botanic Gardens. The three-year fixed term apprenticeship will result in the NZ Certificate in Amenity Horticulture (Level 4); a qualification that is highly respected by the horticulture industry both in NZ and overseas.

You'll have an active interest in horticulture, a level 2 certificate, good reading and writing ability and a willingness to undertake further study. You need to be organised and willing to put in the hours to get your qualification. To work outside, you'll be in tip top physical health, and you'll love working in a team environment learning from the best.

This is a chance to work as an important member of a dedicated and passionate team, in a supportive environment. You get to combine your love of nature and desire to work outside on a daily basis, all while gaining a national qualification.
