Over 300 people from 10 different engineering disciplines work out of our Ōtautahi, Christchurch office, which has a depth of knowledge and exciting office culture that enables our people to play a huge role in the day to day life of people in the region and across Aotearoa.

We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our dedicated and passionate team to work with key clients in the transport infrastructure sector. Project work typically encompasses medium to large projects across the South Island, but you will also have the opportunity to work on other projects throughout Aotearoa and across the Pacific. Each day will bring challenge and variety and overall you can expect to:

- Deliver projects on time and to budget, while meeting clients’ needs and expectations
- Seek continuous improvement in the design process, including the use of new technology
- Communicate positively and effectively ensuring that team members, managers and clients are well informed of your project tasks.
- Be able to collaboratively undertake conceptual designs through to detailed design, contract procurement and construction administration with a small team
- Consolidate and extend technical skills and show initiative in seeking learning opportunities
- Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills
- Develop and mentor others to grow successful careers
- Foster client relationships that contribute to repeat business

**About you**

Your passion, design and problem-solving mindset will be matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects in a multidisciplinary business. You will also have an enquiring mind, able to problem solve and think laterally. You will have a qualification in Civil Engineering and have a couple of years’ experience in a consulting or construction environment working on infrastructure and multi-disciplinary projects. You will be interested in road and transport design and although not essential, if you have some knowledge or experience in design packages like AutoCad, Civil 3D, Open Roads, MX or 12D, we would love to hear about it.
