Key duties and responsibilities include:

- Providing care in accordance with individual care plans
- Supporting resident/patient independence and taking an active part in decision-making about their care
- Ensuring optimal resident/patient well-being through quality, timely care
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Level 4 (Senior Caregivers) will administer medication, provide wound care, and take observations
- Contributing positively to the effective functioning of the team
- Respecting the spiritual and cultural needs of the residents and their whānau
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents/patients, visitors, and other staff

Our wish list includes:

- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant/Support Worker/Caregiver
- Relevant qualifications and training
- Outgoing personality and positive outlook
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines
- Understanding of ethics and boundaries in the workplace
- A genuine desire to provide support and care that maintains dignity for all
- Computer skills - able to maintain accurate records and health documentation
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Ability to work a range of shifts including days/afternoons/evenings and weekends
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident, work visa holder)
