Since Riviera Hardware Holdings inception in 2009, where we started out with a small local Mitre 10 store in Warkworth, we have grown to be the largest group of stores within the Mitre 10 national network. We are proud to offer our customers a shopping experience like no other in New Zealand’s largest hardware retail store; Mitre 10 MEGA Albany as well as New Lynn, Warkworth, Whangaparoa and Silverdale, boast Columbus Coffee shops. We also have a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant.

- In summary, this role is responsible for the efficiency of the team and delivering the customer service experience across the front of store operation including _**_checkouts _**_(_processing all transactions including cash, eftpos, credit cards, gift vouchers and on-account) **and **_customer services_** **(refunds, exchanges, returns, faulty goods repair, special orders, click and collect and home delivery).

**Our ideal applicant**:

- Minimum of 3 years previous experience at a mid management level in a big box retail environment (preferred)
- Prepared to commit to at least one weekend day and have some flexibility to match our trading hours which could include some early starts and some late finishes. (The non-peak season store trading hours are from 7am to 7pm.)
- Operational knowledge of supply chain and suppliers and the supply chain process.
- Previous team leadership experience (15+ members of staff).
- Coaching skills to develop and mentor future leaders.
- Demonstrate a high level of stock integrity awareness and operational standards.
- Decision making capability in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Strong multi-tasking ability.
- Ability to pro-actively work on own initiative
- An understanding of performance management and employment law
- Strong Administrative and time management skills.

**Summary of duties**:

- Deliver exceptional service across the front of store operation, while ensuring processes and procedures are in place to protect the company from risk of fraud and theft.
- Lead and drive a high performing team. Ensuring team presentation standards meet or exceed Company expectations and that they provide a high standard of service to other members of the team and external customers.
- Use customer transaction data to effectively manage rosters, breaks and assisted tasks, without compromising service.
- Ensure the front of store team are advised of all promotional activity and advertised products and services, including finance, air points and club activity.
- Implement training programs to constantly improve team member knowledge of the front of store procedures and customer service requirements, utilizing Mitre 10 training materials.
- Take ownership of all administration functions and cash office procedures.
- Manage the front of store procedures relating to the processing of transactions, refunds, supplier returns etc. to preserve stock integrity and ensure accurate inventory data.
- Effectively manage the store visitor process.
