- Health New Zealand, Nelson Marlborough seeks an experienced Anaesthetist to join the Anaesthesia team to cover leave for 6 months with potential to extend
- Fixed-term, part-time 0.875FTE (70 hours a fortnight)
- Be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team
- 1:15 on-call
- Deliver quality services to improve health of the population in Nelson region.
- Participate in the Monday through Sunday rotating and 1:15 Anaesthetics on-call roster, including covering: planned care/acute patient delivery, medical after-hours on call support, pre-anaesthetic check clinics, duty and acute anaesthetic responsibilities. When rostered as the duty anaesthetist, or when covering the after-hours on call, you - ll support other departments including emergency department, medical, obstetrics and paediatric patients requiring anaesthetic support.
- Supervise and participate in teaching of junior medical workforce.

**The ideal applicant will**:

- Bring your Anaesthesia expertise to an acute secondary care hospital and contribute to critical care to the patients in the Nelson region.
- Hold Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), or equivalent.
- Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate and vocational registration of Anaesthesia with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Ngā huanga o tēnei mahi (The benefits of this position)The salary for this position is based on the current Senior Medical Officer collective agreement dependent on skills, experience, and vocational registration in NZ, Meca | ASMS
