Our client is one of New Zealand’s most renowned and respected commercial/industrial flooring applicators in the country. Based in Hamilton, our client is seeking to expand their team with a diligent and conscientious, experienced Foreman/Applicator.

You will need to be a friendly, easy going person with a good sense of humour that can easily fit into their team that already includes multiple cultures. As a Foreman/Applicator will coordinate operations and oversee day-to-day activities on sites and will be the key person in charge of managing the completion of the projects.

**Key Requirements**:

- Organise the team on site, to ensure all work is performed to a high level of finish and in accordance with the required specification.
- Review and manage the overall project to ensure time frame deadlines are met.
- Liaise with client and contractors’ representatives on site as required.
- Ensure all relevant equipment has up to date electrical compliance tags and that the correct equipment is selected and available for use on the current job.
- Complete daily quality assurance documents relating to the project.
- Complete all relevant health and safety documentation relating to the project.
- At completion of the project ensure that all quality assurance and health and safety documentation is fully completed and passed onto the Branch Manager for evaluation.
- Carry out an investigation and complete appropriate paperwork and forward to head office if an injury occurs.
- Complete all administration requirements according to Company Policy and Procedure.
- Ensure your Team are completing all vehicle checklists and leaving depot in a timely manner.
- Undertake appropriate training and development to ensure that your knowledge is always up to date, effectively utilising all current best practices within the industry.
- Be prepared towork outside of normal business hours when required and to be available to attend meetings and meet business and client/customer demands.
- Undertake all aspects of adequate substrate preparation by either diamond grinding, shot blasting, anchor grooving and vacuuming clean to the specified standard.
- Complete repair of all substrate defects including chips, holes, and cracks.
- Preparation and mixing of epoxy / polyurethane materials strictly adhering to the specified mixing ratios to achieve the desired finish

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- 3 plus years’ experience as a Foreman or in a similar role
- Ability to provide hands on delivery while also leading, coaching, and motivating your crew staff to generate above average productivity.
- Good client management and problem resolution & issue management skills.
- Knowledge and experience in resin coving, broadcast systems, roller coating and self-smoothing coatings
- Experience with epoxy, resins, and polyurethane floor toppings
- Previous experience in painting, plastering, or trowelling an advantage
- Exceptional adherence to site safety and safe work practises
- Experiences managing jobs and delivering successfully from a Time, Cost, Quality & Safety perspective
- Ability to organise daily crew activities, supply logistics and equipment in an effective way towards achieving the end goals
- Ability to adapt to our information systems and convey quality delivery evidence, issues, risks, OHS, variation sign ups and time reporting
- Ability to read construction plans and identify specification requirements
- A strong delivery / work ethic and willingness to get the job done and work under pressure
- Commit to travelling around New Zealand
