- **Do you have**:
- 2+ years’ experience as an ecologist in a relevant field
Proven consultancy experience
A keen interest in developing New Zealand Ecology knowledge
Desired but not essential is experience in ecological effects assessment, management and restoration
Commitment to continued professional growth and development
A drive to support the continued growth and development of an industry-leading ecological services team and to develop and mentor junior staff

We’re looking for someone who believes in better and has a keen generalist interest in Ecology. We’re particularly keen to hear from you if you have the ability to be logical, detail-oriented and are highly motivated.
In order to be considered for this exciting opportunity for an Ecologist to join the 4Sight - Part of SLR team you ideally would be a Marine, Freshwater or Terrestrial Ecologist, and have proven consultancy experience, but most importantly as a consultant filling one of these roles, you will be an energetic and talented individual who knows what it takes to be successful.
You will be able to competently deal with a variety of clients, regulatory authorities, iwi/hapū, local community members and a wider range of experts in varying disciplines in order to deliver balanced outcomes for a range of projects from developments through to catchment-wide management and restoration strategies. You will need to have a passion for New Zealand’s wildlife and be on your way to building a sound knowledge of ecological management with relevant field experience across a range of ecosystems, habitats and taxa.
