Mō te tūnga | About the role
An Authorised Officers (AO) is sought for Station Support. The role is mainly Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm, flexibility in hours is essential and this will be discussed with the successful applicant. Shift work may be involved from time to time due to operational requirements.
Public Counter duties will take up a large proportion of your time, this consists of, but not limited to, the taking of complaints, statements, handling and recording exhibits, and dealing with public inquiries. Other duties will also be guarding scenes, prisoner management, searching, auditing, transportation, and fleet management..
This position provides operational and administrative support and customer service. such as file management, customer service, public counter duties, telephony, data entry.
The role of the Authorised Officers is to provide a whole District support with Public Counter enquiries and recording of Complaints. These roles can also deal with custodial support to Police across the whole District.
The roles require the use of NIA and various Police programs.

- Current Authorised Officer Qualification
- Current PCT
- Applicants must be NZ or Australian citizens or have permanent residence in New Zealand
- Applicant must hold a full Class A New Zealand driver license

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $74,748 and $78,129 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
