**Job Description**:
Marine Surveyor
To carry out Statutory Marine Surveys under the MNZ MOSS framework on NZ's domestic fleet.
Engineer - Surveyor
- Inspection of boilers and pressure vessels in accordance with NZ Regulations and Standards.
- Inspection of Cranes in accordance with NZ Regulations and Standards.
- Welding inspection in accordance with NZ Regulations and Standards.
- This will involve inspection at client sites across the Christchurch and wider Canterbury area and issuance of Certificates of Inspection and Reports.
- Identify and assist in developing and securing both new business and new business opportunities.
- Provide training and mentoring to trainees when qualified to do so.
- 40 hrs a week with overtime opportunities
**Qualifications**:
Profile
Requires training and qualifications such as:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering/relevant Technology or Science, or;
- Have a tertiary qualification in mechanical or marine engineering and/or Certification Board for Inspection Personnel (CBIP) Qualifications in a relevant discipline, or;
- A 1st Class Marine Engineer’s Certificate;
- Experience in surveying or inspection of boilers, pressure vessels and cranes is also preferable.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication setting and can get messages across that have the desired effect.
- A full and current New Zealand driver license.
