Are you someone who's driven to make a real impact on people's lives?
- Do you love the idea of every day bringing new challenges and opportunities?
- Are you looking for a team that feels like family and a workplace culture that encourages your growth?
**About us**:
At Tu Ora Compass Health, we're not just about healthcare; we're about creating healthier, happier lives. In 2023, we proudly took home the Team Gold award at the Wellington Gold Awards, which recognised our dedication to employee wellness and exemplary HR practices. We celebrated an achievement that's close to our hearts - zero gender pay gap, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to fairness and inclusivity. We've also joined forces with Diversity Works, earning an integrated or advanced rating across all aspects of the Aotearoa Inclusivity Matrix.
**About the role**:
As a Health Improvement Practitioner, you'll be at the forefront of changing lives in our Wellington-based GP clinics. Imagine yourself providing mental, physical health, and well-being support, tailored for the New Zealand context using our adaptable Behavioural Health Consultancy (BHC) model. This is your chance to be the link between the GP team, peer health coaches, and community support workers.
**Here's what your days will look like**:
- Your primary mission is to work with GP clients, offering brief psychological interventions, including Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT), and facilitating evidence-based group programs
- You're the expert who elevates the capabilities of the general practice team by sharing your insights and fostering a culture of mental health and addiction competence
- You'll be a driving force in enhancing the overall well-being of the local community by crafting tailored group pathways based on clinic needs and ensuring seamless access to services.
**What we expect from you**:
- A post-graduate qualification that enables you to provide therapeutic support to clients
- Registration with a relevant body under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA)
- You have proven experience working with clients in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic models, especially brief psychological interventions
- A sincere passion for talking therapies.
**Why we're the right fit for you**:
- Our workplace is a haven of collaboration, filled with nurses, psychologists, therapists, and peer health coaches
- We're committed to your professional growth, providing ongoing training, personalised supervision, and mentorship
- Picture yourself in a dynamic and inspiring work environment, where your potential is nurtured
- We offer a competitive remuneration package
At Tu Ora, we regard child safety as a shared workforce responsibility. Every person has a moral, ethical and organisational obligation to uphold our safeguarding expectations and their safeguarding responsibilities. This includes taking any concerns about the welfare of tamariki or rangatahi or the suitability of our staff seriously.
**How to apply**:
Join us in sculpting the future of healthcare. Your adventure begins now.
