Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Digital Manufacturing Technician.

The Digital Manufacturing Technician will provide technical support services for a range of digital fabrication and manufacturing equipment, in support of the faculty’s teaching, learning, research, and outreach programs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide specialist additive manufacturing (3D printing) services, including operation of Stratasys polyjet multi-material 3D printer, and the BigRep FDM 3D printer as a print bureau service to faculty stakeholders, supporting both teaching and a world-leading research program at the faculty.
- Provision of general additive manufacturing (3D printing) technical advice to clients, including 3D file CAD support and costing/estimating of print jobs.
- Maintain and support a range of other digital manufacturing/ prototyping equipment used at the faculty workshops.
- As part of the technical team, help maintain the assigned digital manufacturing equipment, including servicing of the equipment, ordering spares, and training stakeholders on operation and health and safety.

You will be a motivated, customer-focused individual who can take the initiative and provide excellent technical support services. You may be a recent graduate or be in a relevant industry. You will have the desire to become an expert in the field of additive manufacturing at the faculty.

**Key Requirements**:

- A tertiary qualification within a relevant field, or relevant Industry experience. In particular, experience and enthusiasm for additive manufacturing (3D printing).
- Good people and communication skills including the ability to relate to people from various backgrounds, and to both students and academic staff in a face-to-face setting.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as having individual responsibilities.
