**Mō te tūranga (About the role)**:
Te Whare Mahana is the name of our residential service for Whānau Whaiora who experience mental health disorders. We work in collaboration with Whānau Whaiora, Recovery Support Kaimahi (RSWs) Registered Nurses and the Senior Registered Nurse to assist Whānau Whaiora to gain and maintain the ability to move confidentially to their own home in the community of their choice. Your role as the Tuakana Ratonga Rapuora is to oversee delivery of our holistic service to Whānau Whaiora.
You will be part of an appropriately trained and qualified team to provide 24-hour, seven days per week service to meet Whānau Whaiora individual needs and will deliver services that will contribute to Whānau Ora outcomes. The main hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm. As the RN you will share a ‘on call' roster, between the period of 22:45 to 07:00 and weekends when required.
**Kia ekena a angitū (To promote success in this role, you will have)**:
- Comprehensive Registered Nurse qualification with a Current Practicing Certificate.
- Experience working with Whānau Whaiora who experience mental health disorders.
- Experience of advocacy and liaison with GP's and other community health providers.
- Experience of supervision of allied health and recovery support kaimahi.
- Experience of meeting contractual and health and disability and safety standards.
- The ability to work in a busy and challenging environment; and
- Commitment for Māori health, wellbeing and thriving whānau.
- Ability to think critically, coach and influence others
- A full, clean NZ Driver Licence.
