**Te āheinga: The opportunity**

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursing Clinical Lecturer in a permanent part-time (.09 FTE) capacity to join UCOL Te Pūkenga within our region. As a Nursing Clinical Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical support to nursing āā konga and guiding them through their practical experiences in various healthcare settings.

**He korero mōu: About you**

You will provide comprehensive clinical instruction to nursing students, ensuring adherence to the curriculum and learning outcomes. Guide and supervise students during their clinical rotations in healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. Facilitate hands-on learning experiences, demonstrating propernursing techniques, procedures, and protocols. Evaluate ākonga performance, provide constructive feedback, and assess their competency in clinical practice. Collaborate with the nursing Faculty to design and develop clinical learning activities and materials. You will be required to stay updated with current nursing practices, emerging trends, and advancements in healthcare to incorporate into the curriculum. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting professionalism, ethical behavior, and cultural sensitivity. Participate in Faculty meetings, curriculum development, and programme evaluation activities. Mentor and advise nursing students, offering guidance on career development and academic progress. Actively engage in continuous professional development activities, including attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako: Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor of Nursing degree essential
- Have Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ as a Registered Nurse and a current Practising Certificate
- Hold a relevant master’s degree or have a professional development plan in place to complete a master’s degree within four years
- Complete an adult teaching and learning qualification within two years of appointment
- A minimum of 3 years post registration experience
- Research active.
