Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the roleA position ideal for someone who enjoys teaching and mentoring, with a varied clinical caseload is available within our service.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with between minimum 4 years' clinical experience. In this role you will clinically cover surgical wards that include orthopaedics, plastics and general surgery as well as providing an OT service to children's wards. You will also mentor and supervise our rotational OT in these areas.
You will have good access to peer support, clinical and professional supervision. Training is also available internally and externally, to help you continue to build skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.

The Occupational Therapy service see patients/clients within the hospital or based in the community. Services are based in ED/APU, the acute wards, the rehabilitation wards and specialist outpatients.

You will be part of a highly skilled and supportive team. We offer professional supervision, a comprehensive orientation programme and ongoing professional development.
Moū ' About youIn this role you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to prioritise, to work under pressure and to manage your time effectively. You will need to have skills in teaching and mentoring.

Skills & Experience
'Registration and current APC with Occupational Therapy Board NZ
'At least 4 years clinical experience in relevant inpatient setting
'Experience with supervising and mentoring staff
'Experience in collaborative Multidisciplinary/Interprofessional practice
'Enable NZ Accreditation in Personal care and household management or equivalent
'Demonstrates ability to build rapport with patient and whānau from all backgrounds
'Involvement in service development
'Current drivers licence
