We specialize in cosmetic panel and paint, heavy structural collision repairs and rust treatment.

**Role Purpose**

We are looking for a full time **Panel Beater / Estimator **to join our team and take our business to the next level in the automotive panel and refinish market. We require someone who is results-driven, has excellent negotiation skills with extensive experience in estimating and panel beating.

Your primary focus will be on maintaining and growing client relationships, ensuring that client needs are met and our services delivered effectively. You will be building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, estimating and tracking vehicles’ repair progress, cooperating with Production Manager and Foremen to monitor daily production outputs and to ensure that vehicles are restored to the standard required and delivered on time. Essential part of the duties is ensuring all staff are aware of expectations and all the parts to complete repairs are available on site. You will communicate timely progress to clients and give feedback to staff to clarify expectations and improve quality. Other responsibilities include quality check and parts procurement.

- **Location**: South Auckland
- **Contract Type**:Full Time, Permanent (minimum of 30 hours/week - maximum 60 hours/week)
- **Work Hours**:Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
- **Wages Details**:$75,000-$80,000 per annum

**Principal Accountabilities**

In this role you would report to Sales Manager and be responsible for carrying out on daily basis:

- Maintain, foster and grow strong and long-lasting client relationships to ensure client needs are met and the services are delivered effectively and promptly
- Understand clients' business needs and objectives
- Proactively build a healthy sales pipeline to over-achieve sales targets
- Sell the services provided by the business (e.g. production time, specialist services, staff skills, facilities/equipment, quality, efficiency, and timeliness) to prospective clients
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services or products
- Prepare all estimates in an accurate and thorough manner with clarity of presentation converting the customers’ requirements into a detailed plan to provide the client with a complete, accurate, detailed plan of the repairs
- Ensure that all estimates are prepared in a manner that the business achieves the profit benchmarks established by management
- Ensure that all estimates converted to live jobs provide the production team with an accurate, detailed and achievable job plan
- Ensure all estimates are completed in a timely manner (with 24hrs)
- Provide regular updates to clients on repair status and progress
- Develop a follow-up system (both for all not captured estimates and for all completed jobs)
- Deal with any customer queries promptly and effectively
- Regular professional frontline communication with all stakeholders
- Understand insurance companies' processes and computer systems
- Load estimates onto insurance company programs and negotiate with insurance assessors
- Work with the certifier/engineer and provide all the relevant documentation and images to ensure smooth workflow
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and customers to deliver _Exceptional Customer Experience_
- Diligently negotiate an agreed price on every job to ensure profitability
- Always confirm the agreed price in writing before initiating the repairs
- Verify that all signatures, work authorisations, and pre-inspection checklists have been obtained prior to initiating the repairs
- Carry out _Final Quality Checks_ of all completed jobs before authorizing any deliveries
- Track and analyze client satisfaction
- Ensure Health & Safety is in line with the company policies of all sites visited and WorkSafe NZ protocols
- Assist with the planning, monitoring and evaluating daily/weekly/monthly Production Schedule
- Ensure all parts are available when required
- Assist in parts procurement paying particular attention to the selection of parts suppliers, outwork suppliers to maximise profitability in the parts department
- Review all final invoices and supplemental billings for accuracy in consultation with Production Manager
- Develop a systemised approach to “cold sales calls” to ensure a steady flow of new profitable clients
- Assist the management team in the development of and review of operating processes and procedures
- Communicate issues and/or problems to Sales Manager
- Work with Sales Manager to ensure client’s quality and deliver
