**Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi - About the Role**

Are you passionate about science and education? Ara is looking for a experienced academic staff member to teach into our Science programmes

Teaching both face-to-face and online, you will have the expertise to confidently teach Science across levels 3-7 of the New Zealand Qualification Framework. You have a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse learners within an education setting.

The role includes working with department staff and will be involved in the development and delivery of course materials and the associated assessment of course work.

Experience in a laboratory setting (human or animal) would be an advantage and a strength in Quality Assurance is desirable.

- A relevant Science qualification
- An Ara‐recognized teaching qualification
- Experience as a tertiary educator
- Current industry/discipline knowledge
- Related work experience in fields relevant to position
- Demonstrated ability to develop & maintain external stakeholder relationships
- The ability to develop and implement flexible teaching and learning methods, including the use of learning technologies
- Engagement with assessment and feedback processes.
- Effective communication with a diverse range of others, at all levels within and outside the organisation
- Vision, innovation and a commitment to facilitating own and others' learning.
