Are you a payroll or information management professional looking for a challenge in a new and dynamic environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui as a Payroll Systems Specialist.

As a vital part of the Payroll & People and Communications team, you will work closely with HR and stakeholders to deliver a professional, accurate and efficient payroll service. Join our team and play a crucial role in the health system at a local level.

We have a vacancy for someone who is passionate and keen to work in a complex environment, who can appreciate that payroll is not just pushing buttons, using AMS Leader payroll systems.

As a Payroll Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing new collective agreements. You will maintain and audit security access to payroll systems and provide training to managers.

Key responsibilities include:

- Train managers throughout the organisation to use AMS Actor and Kiosk. Provide ongoing support
- Test, sign off and Implement system upgrades from AMS.
- Ensure AMS system users have correct access
- Liaise with system vendor for issue resolution
- Ensure payroll system is compliant with the Holidays Act 2003
- Actively seek to improve payroll processes

With relevant previous experience dealing with complex systems and processes you will be able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in your work, excellent processing skills and an eye for process improvement. You communicate effectively and are most comfortable in hardworking, collaborative teams. You take the initiative to do the things that need doing, while managing multiple priorities.

- Work well independently yet also be an active contributor within the wider team
- Be highly skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite

Experience in a high-volume payroll position with an understanding of relevant employment legislation and both individual and collective agreements is also an essential requirement.
