**Job Description**:
We are looking for an experienced Drainage Foreperson to join our Gisborne team helping to deliver the good work that we are known for.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the drainage crew and ensuring day-to-day tasks and works requirements are completed effectively and within budget constraints.

You will also be responsible for:
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with the relevant instruction and specifications- Developing and coaching your crew to develop their skillsets- Ensuring your team complies with Health and Safety requirements, to maintain the safety of yourself, your team and the public

About you

You will be an experienced Drainlayer with great leadership and people management skills, open communication skills, and a keen eye for detail and safety.

You’ll also need:
- A full class 2 licence with WTR endorsements (essential)- Certified Drainlayer- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the civil drainage / construction industry- Ability to read and understand construction drawings- Skilled excavator operator to a high level- Great time management skills to ensure goals and deadlines are met- A safety-first approach to ensure the safety of yourself, your team and the public- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- A positive, can-do attitude with proven ability to lead a team
