Farm Assistant

DB Chicks Limited is a New Zealand family owned company that owns and operates one of New Zealand's largest chicken broiler farms. Set on 18 Ha of west Auckland farmland, this position offers an excellent opportunity for a farm assistant to join a high performing team. The role will contribute to the day to day farm management, ensuring optimal livestock and people management. This farm contract grows chickens for Tegel and birds are housed in large barns. There are no cages on this farm.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

- Experience in working on a broiler farm.
- Comfortable being part of a team to ensure an outstanding team culture is developed.
- Ability to adapt and react quickly to change, with a willingness to both listen and contribute on issues.
- Understand the requirements for Health & Safety and undertake industry best practice.
- Have an attitude of continually trying to improve processes and outcomes.
- Be part of a team while providing leadership and experience.
