We are currently looking for a highly motivated and innovative experienced Registered Nurse for the role of Charge Nurse, Ward 75, Orthopaedics.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading trauma centre, orthopaedic nursing at Auckland City Hospital and widen your experience in caring for people within the scope of multi-trauma and elective orthopaedic speciality. This is your chance to join an awesome team and do your life's best work.
As the Charge Nurse, you will responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical nursing care to patients and their whanau. On a daily basis, you will be able to demonstrate your clinical and professional leadership while leading and supporting the nursing team in all aspects of nursing care management within the ward. This is a key senior nursing role and you will be working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class health care.
This is a fulltime position working 40 hrs/week, Monday to Sunday (typically Monday to Friday 0700-1530), based at Te Toka Tumai Auckland To learn more about the role.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will ideally be an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership experience in a tertiary hospital preferably within surgical services. You will have excellent communication skills and will be a driver of quality improvement initiatives with the focus on patient safety and excellence in delivery of care.
- Advanced clinical practice knowledge, with demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in a fast paced setting
- Commitment to providing excellent care
- Strong accountability for resource and budget management
- Current NZ Nursing Council Registration and an annual practicing certificate
- A commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these
- Ability to provide coaching and address performance issues
- Ideally, you will have completed or working towards a post-graduate qualification.
