**The Role**

The New Zealand construction industry remains strong and CPB is well positioned in terms of both current work in hand, and a solid pipeline of future projects.

CPB are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Construction Manager to be based in our Auckland head office as a key senior member of the proposals team leading the development of construction methodologies and construction programmes for our proposals. The role is based in Auckland however will require occasional travel to different projects and sites from time-to-time.

As the Construction Manager you will be working closely with other members of our proposals team and be responsible for all construction related deliverables required for inclusion in our proposals. Ideally you will have major project delivery experience in a range of project types that include both horizontal and vertical infrastructure components.

If you are an experienced Construction Manager with previous experience in managing sizeable sites on major projects and looking for the opportunity to be involved in the development phase of a wide range of projects this could be an ideal career move.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

- A tertiary degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or other relevant qualification
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction leadership positions
- Experience as a manager and leader of a construction engineering team, field supervisors and support staff
- The ability to be based in Auckland on a permanent, full-time basis (relocation package provided)

We would prefer applicants that have:

- Significant experience in similar roles such as Construction Manager or Project Manager of NZD100m projects or packages of work
- Experience in the planning and delivery of major project sub-programmes.
