**About the opportunity**:
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer / Fitter to work at our Quality Bakers site in Napier, Hawkes Bay. As an integral member of the maintenance team, the Maintenance Fitter will make a strong contribution to a high performing Operations team and team culture within our site.
You will provide high quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, to achieve acceptable production levels and a high standard in engineering support.
**Note**: This is a Monday to Friday role with every other weekend on call.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility
- Carry out service and repair of Mechanical plant and equipment within the facility, Prioritise all types of given work
- Diagnose faults and carry out modifications to equipment
- Participate in all training as required by the company
- Effective reporting of any issues relating to company SH&E & QA policies
- Point of contact when attending a breakdown

**About you**:
In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for an experienced maintenance fitter who has a background in both reactive and preventative industrial machinery maintenance.

**Experience and qualifications we would like to see include**:

- Trade certification with applicable trade and skilled in fitting, turning and machining
- Welding experience and reasonable knowledge in tig welding is beneficial
- Health, Safety and Environment knowledge, including machinery guarding
- A strong growth mindset with an eagerness to learn new skills
- Basic computer documentation skills in Word, Excel etc.
