Job Description
The role reports to the Production Manager and would suit someone who is passionate about plastic’s technology and has a real mechanical aptitude.
**About the Role**:
This is a full time role and shift work will be required
You will gain on the job experience working on site as well as attending block courses.
You will be fully supported in studying towards an NZ Trade Certificate in Plastics Processing.
What are the key responsibilities?
- Completing the required unit standards on the job and off the job units to attain a Level 3 Plastics Processing qualification
- Assist with die setting and changing
- Assisting with die maintenance and setting up machines
- Work safely as a member of a team in a plastics processing environment

What are we looking for?
- The ability to demonstrate mechanical skills/understanding.
- A keen interest in and an aptitude for mechanical areas.
- Suitable NCEA passes, and/or a pre-trade NZQA qualification
- Good numeracy and literacy skills and an ability to read and understand machine manuals and drawings.
- Good understanding of English, both written & verbal
- A willingness to keep learning and developing new skills.
- Committed to 2 - 3 years study while you work
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Health & Safety awareness.
- Serious about achieving a trade qualification and starting a career - willing to sit the required unit standards to complete NZ Trade Certificate in Plastics Processing - Die Setter
