**Job Description**:
**Primary Responsibilities**

To be responsible and manage general cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedule for office areas, cafeteria, laboratory office, and lavatory facilities.

**Specific Responsibilities**

Perform cleaning duties as outlined in the “Cleaning Schedule” (refer to cleaning schedule)

In Brief:

- Ensure the office, cafeteria, laboratory office and bathroom areas are cleaned to a high standard as deemed acceptable by the Production Manager.
- Ensure the office area is vacuumed.
- Ensure the office, cafeteria and lavatory bins are appropriately emptied and the refuse disposed into the skip bin.
- Ensure the skip bin is secured and locked at all times
- Wiping and sanitizing door handles and cafeteria benches
- Change bin liners when required as per their condition
- Clean the lavatory basins, urinal and toilets ensuring hygiene practices are observed during the cleaning process so there’s no cross contamination
- Clean the cafeteria bench tops and selected appliances
- Inform the Production Manager immediately the necessity to order cleaning consumables such as toilet paper, paper hand towels, hand wash soap, glass cleaner, surface detergents, lavatory detergents, floor detergent, bin liners, etc. before they run out
- Inform the Production Manager immediately when cleaning equipment such as wet mops, dust control mops, dusting cloths, scouring pads, cleaning pads/cloths, toilet brushes, utility brushes, vacuum bags, floor pads, etc. need replacing due to wear and tear
- Inform the Production Manager immediately on the discovery of any damage to cleaning equipment or building fixtures
- Replace and/or top up “in-situation” consumable items to ensure there is adequate supply for the course of a day i.e., toilet paper, paper hand towels, hand wash soap
- Mop/Polish the cafeteria, kitchenette, lavatory and shower floor areas
- Clean glass office, cafeteria and lavatory windows
- Dusting of window blinds
- When requested, full clean of office cubicles including sanitizing and dusting office desks.
- Ensure the security of the building premise is maintained during work and when the premise is vacated.
- Undertake any other cleaning assignments delegated by the Production Manager.
