We are looking for an experienced
**Health & Safety Manager **to join the RiverLink project team.

RiverLink is a transformative project about to get underway in Hutt City. We’re very excited to announce that alongside AECOM, Fletcher Construction will be joining project partners Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Hutt City Council, Greater Wellington, and iwi Taranaki Whānui ki te Upoko o te Ika and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to deliver this project.

RiverLink includes crucial flood protection and river restoration work, improvements to public transport, walking and cycling routes, local roads and the SH2 Melling Interchange, as well as urban revitalisation of the Lower Hutt city centre. Construction is expected to start later this year and be completed in 2027.

**The Role**
- As
**Health & Safety Manager**, you will provide clarity, leadership, direction, planning & control of health, safety and wellbeing management within the Alliance and to support leadership and driving a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture across the team and project. One of our key values, is Protect, We believe all injuries are preventable, never walk past, speak up and take action, celebrate the good stuff, care for each other.

**About You**
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level (preferably in the construction, high risk or similar industry) of achieving HSE excellence through strategic change
- Ideally 5 years’ experience minimum working in a similar level of role
- Excellent knowledge of the New Zealand legislative environment including HSE, ACC and HSNO and industry guidelines and standards
- Tertiary qualified with a specialist HSE qualification preferred e.g Occupational Health & Safety, NEBOSH, Diploma
- High level communications skills with an influencing, coaching emphasis
- Flexible and resilient approach with the ability to travel and be based away from home when required
